Held every year in Algeria since 2003, Djazagro is North Africa's most established and most comprehensive fair in the field of food production, processing and packaging technologies. It opens its doors at the SAFEX Fair Center (Palais des Expositions), Algiers, between April 12-15, 2027. Djazagro, whose name comes from the combination of "Djazaïr", meaning "Algeria" in Algerian Arabic, and "Agro", representing the agri-food sector, presents all components of the agri-food industry under one roof, from food processing machines to filling and packaging lines, from bakery and confectionery equipment to beverage production systems, from food additives to hygiene and cooling technologies. Organized by Comexposium, the fair hosted more than 20,000 professional visitors at its 2025 edition and has become a critical meeting point between local and international players. At the crossroads of the Mediterranean, Arab and African worlds, Algeria aims to develop local production and reduce dependence on imports in line with its 2030 target; this makes the fair a unique platform for firms seeking machinery, technology and business partnership.
