Art Cologne 2026 (ART COLOGNE) is a modern and contemporary art fair held at the Koelnmesse exhibition centre in Cologne from 5–8 November 2026, organised by Koelnmesse GmbH; the 2026 edition is the 59th edition according to the organiser. The organiser defines ART COLOGNE as the world’s oldest art fair: the fair’s origins date back to 15 September 1967, when the Kunstmarkt Köln ’67 opened in the historic Gürzenich building in Cologne. The fair offers a platform for established galleries and emerging players in the Contemporary Art, Modern Art and Neumarkt sections; paintings, sculptures, photography, installations and digital artworks are exhibited. In the 2025 edition (58th edition) 167 galleries and vendors from 25 countries showcased 20th and 21st century art, and approximately 45,000 visitors from Germany and abroad filled the halls over four days. The programme includes guided tours coordinated by ZADIK (German and International Art Market Research Centre Archive) and the FAIR ENOUGH podcast series prepared in collaboration with TEXTE ZUR KUNST. The fair is accessed from the south entrance adjacent to the Cologne Messe/Deutz train station.
