Held every two years since 1949, IBA is the undisputed world's leading trade fair for the bakery, confectionery, and snack industries. Organized by GHM Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen mbH, the fair will open its doors for 5 days from October 24-28, 2027, at Messe München. The 2025 edition brought together 985 exhibiting companies from 46 countries and 49,115 industry professionals from 149 countries in an area of 100,000 m². IBA offers the entire bakery and confectionery value chain under one roof, including raw materials and baking ingredients, frozen products and ready-made dough systems, bread and pastry production technologies, pizza, pasta, and tortilla production equipment, packaging technologies, refrigeration and air conditioning systems, shop fitting and point-of-sale design, laboratory and measuring equipment, IT solutions, and cleaning and hygiene solutions. 62.6% of visitors are decision-makers with purchasing or procurement power. The IBA Award, DBZ IBA Trophy, Baker Maker Award, iba.FORUM (70 expert speakers), IBA-UIBC-Cup of Bakers, and the German Master Bakers Championship are among the fair's highlights.
