LIGNA is a wood processing machinery and technology fair held in Hannover by Deutsche Messe AG in collaboration with the VDMA Wood Processing Machinery Association; the 2027 edition takes place from 10-14 May 2027 at the Hannover exhibition grounds. According to the organizer’s 2025 closing report, the 26-30 May 2025 edition attracted 1,433 participants from 49 countries and approximately 78,000 visitors from 156 countries; 93% of visitors were commercial visitors, 56% were from abroad, and 60% of the commercial visitors held managerial positions. The organizer announced that from 2027 onwards the fair will no longer coincide with the Ascension of Jesus holiday and will offer five full business days.
